kissimmee-state-parkI just LOVE November! So much going on, and we start off with this being Paddlesports Month. Learning to paddleboard and kayak is high on my list which means I have no excuse not to. You know I’m a huge fan of our state parks and this the perfect time to lean a new skill like paddleboarding and take advantage of our beautiful weather. I just have to learn to stay on the board and not in the water…easier said than done. Keep the Florida State Parks site bookmarked and go exploring soon. This month I’ve already gone over to Lake Kissimmee State Park which was so peaceful and beautiful on the Sunday morning I was there, and next up may be Manatee Springs State Park around Thanksgiving. Check in for more info on where your next state parks Ann-Venture may be right here.

manateeThis is also the time of year when our Manatees being their migration to warmer waters, and one of my favorite spots to see them is at TECO’s Manatee Viewing Center at the Big Bend Power Station in Apollo Beach. On one of my visits last year there we so many manatees I just gave up trying to count them. The most precious site were the Moms and calves mainly off to the side in their own little Manatee nursery. Sweet! This is also a wonderful place to see massive pods of stingrays coming in. It’s all one big happy family in the warm waters. Pay a visit soon during Manatee Awareness Month!
