This is going to be fun! Make sure you’re logged on to Facebook this Saturday morning and watch with me as the Hillsborough River is turned green. It’s St Patrick Day weekend, and we’ll be celebrating at the Mayor’s River O Green Festival. I’ll be onboard the boats as they kick off the morning magically giving the Hillsborough River the perfect shade of green for celebrating all day long. But it’s a party with an important purpose. In the spirit of St. Patrick, any attendee who brings three non-perishable food items will receive a green “Saint Patrick’s Army” shirt provided by the Salvation Army while supplies last. All donations will benefit the Salvation Army and provide support for those in need. There will be a tent on site to collect the donations. And the weather is going to be beautiful so find your finest Irish garb and let’s see who can look the most like a leprechaun!

There’s a full day of entertainment, good food and family friendly fun with me and Tampa Mayor Buckhorn in Curtis Hixon Park. It doesn’t get any more Irish than us. Just take a look at what’s going on!
