Friday, April 21st marks the one-year anniversary of the shocking news of Prince’s death. Author Ben Greenman has a new book that’s not a gossipy tell-all, but rather a tribute to the icon and what defined his life and his music.
If you want to know what the creative process was like for the Prince of Paisley Park and why he had to go to war with his own record label this is the book with the answers. But what about those other tasty tidbits of knowledge that real fans already know, but are new to you? And one of the most interesting items we discussed first – the new music from the Prince archives being released on June 2nd, but it can be pre-ordered on iTunes, Google Play and Amazon. “Deliverance” was released earlier this week and there’s already a lawsuit. That tune is part of a a six-song EP but now it looks like it all is going to be put on hold until things are sorted out.
It’s a pleasure to let you hear from New York Times best-selling author and journalist Ben Greenman right here, and to give you the chance to win a copy of “Dig If You Will The Picture.” Just click here to enter and we’ll award one copy at random. Just make sure we have your entry by Wednesday, April 26th.
