What can I say? When you read Suncoast Animal League Executive Director Rich Chaboudy’s post on a sweet little pup named Ralphie and the abuse he suffered it makes me just plain angry. You wonder how someone can do this to a helpless animals. But then you have to thank the team effort that found Ralphie the help and healing he needed. I stopped in at the Suncoast Animal League Thrift Shop Saturday and had the chance to meet this brave two-month old who you would have never thought had surgery just two days before. It’s incredible how showing a little love can has turned Ralphie’s cowering in fear when anyone approached him to big tail wags, offering a paw to say hello and oh yes, the request for belly rubs. There were so many people stopping in over the weekend just to see him and offer their support.
Ralphie isn’t up for adoption quite yet but stay tuned for that. But in the meantime make sure you check in on the Suncoast Animal League Facebook and Twitter feeds to see the many pets who are looking for a forever home. You can also offer your time as a volunteer or foster and classes. Keep an eye on social media for those as well. But for now if you love hunting for treasures and nice deals make sure to stop in at the Thrift Shop. I’ll have a few of my own creations over there this week so please be generous with your support. Ralphie and all the shelter pets say thank you.
