It’s so exciting to know how well we’ve done with our featured pets of the week from the Suncoast Animal League. Let’s keep that streak alive with Bucky! Annette Dettloff, the Director of Development for the Suncoast Animal League tells us all about this cute little guy.

Meet Bucky…This happy fella is snuggly, cuddly, shadow dog Bucky. He is 9-years-old and weighs just 16 lbs. He came to us a couple of weeks ago when his mom passed away. He has been in one of our fabulous foster homes ever since and tomorrow he is hoping to meet his new mom, dad or full family. Bucky’s  foster mom said he is easy going and quiet. He loves to sit on her lap to watch TV (he naturally requests Animal Planet). He  also enjoys sunbathing outside by his foster family’s pool and just kicking back and relaxing. Bucky is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date with his vaccines. He recently had his teeth cleaned when we sent him to the vet for a checkup so his pearly whites are lovely. Interested in meeting Bucky? Please contact our shelter located at 1030 Pennsylvania Avenue in Palm Harbor, or give us a call at 727-786-1330.

By the way, the Suncoast Animal League Thrift Shop is now open Sundays 12-4 thanks to so many of you wanting to drop by. Personally I think the big draw this past week has been Ralphie who’s available to hugs and belly rubs at the Thrift Shop as he heals and waits for his new forever home. By the way there’s a refreshing fund raiser coming up for  Ralphie at Cueni Brewing Company in Dunedin next week.  C’mon by and and chill for a while. Who know’s what paw you might be shaking?

But I’m also happy to say the shop has really brought out my creative side. I’ve donated some of my own Ann Kelly Creations to the shop and am happily working on some new ones. There is always a need to raise money, especially for the vet bills.
