It’s the event we all look forward to every year – The Trans Siberian Orchestra’s return to Amalie Arena. But this year will be bittersweet with the loss of two members over the past year. But in my interview with original member Al Pitrelli who is also the music director and guitarist for TSO, they choose to celebrate the lives of creator, composer and lyricist Paul O’Neill and bassist Dave Z (David Zablidowsky). The Winter tour is presented by Hallmark with an updated presentation of “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve.” The tour will be in Amalie Arena Sunday for two shows with their incredible blend of music, special effects and astonishing staging. A portion of every ticket sold benefits local charities. It’s a generous donation with more than $13 million distributed to date.
