The Arthritis Foundation has been a source of help and hope for so many people, and that list includes me. Lupus is a tough disease to live with but it’s only one of more than one hundred forms of arthritis. So allow me to be totally selfish for a moment. When I have the chance to tell you about a wonderful way to begin your day and make a difference at the same time I’m going to do it! The Faces of Arthritis “Champions of Yes” breakfast is coming up Tuesday, November 7th at the lovely Centre Club on Westshore Blvd in Tampa and begins at 8 am. Parking is free and check-in will begin at 8 am. You’ll have an invaluable chance to talk with the staff of the Arthritis Foundation and hear from one of my favorite people. Parker Lentini has been at many of the Arthritis Walks and is one of the most inspiring young men I know. You’ll hear directly from Parker on what his journey has been like and why he’s so dedicated to the mission of spreading the word. Parker was the 2016  National Arthritis Foundation Youth Honoree and will give you just the positive start to the day you need. Rebecca Payne has recently joined the Arthritis Foundation North Florida Region as Development Director and talked with me about how important this event is. If you’d like to speak to Rebecca directly, her number is 407-607-6272.

The breakfast is a free event, but of course we love your donations! Just click here for more information, and make plans to join me for the Jingle Bell Run coming up Saturday, December 9th at the University of South Florida.
